Ingredients for making white Cocada:

 360 milliliters of water (1½ cups)

 250 grams of sugar

 240 grams of grated coconut (3 cups)

How to make white coconut candy:

The first step to prepare this Bahia coconut candy is to heat a pan with the sugar and water, and let it cook until it becomes soft.

Tip: To do the test, put some of the syrup in a glass of cold water: you should be able to form a soft candy with the syrup

Then add the grated coconut (preferably fresh) and mix well. The coconut should not take on color, otherwise it will no longer be a white coconut, so remove from heat as soon as the ingredients are well mixed.

With the help of two tablespoons, shape the white coconut candy, which should be slightly soft. After that, it's ready! Fast and easy, right?
